lair Glaser, MA, LCAT, RDT teaches, therapizes and heals souls in Woodstock, NY and NYC. Her passion for consciousness has led her to in-depth study of various spiritual traditions, such as Siddha Yoga, Taoism, and Native American Shamanism. At 24 she began creating and facilitating retreats for the SYDA Foundation.

The healing power of theatre, which Blair pursued for 16 years, inspired her to receive her Master's in Drama Therapy from Vermont College and The Institutes for the Arts in Psychotherapy. She is a New York licensed creative arts therapist, and has led drama therapy groups with women, children, actors, PTSD veterans, and was hired by actor-activist Jane Fonda to run a group for teenage girls. She is a professor of drama therapy at Pratt Institute in Manhattan and has guest lectured about drama therapy at New Rochelle College, The New School and New York University. She serves as an expert on SexualHealth.com , is in private practice and also speaks at conferences and gatherings.

In 1999, Envoyie Special, the European version of "Nightline," filmed one of her drama therapy groups for a special on Broadway actors.

Since its inception in 1998, Blair worked for V-Day, an organization to stop violence against women, and from the fall of 2000 through 2004, she developed and led The Vagina Monologues Workshop, a creative approach to sexual empowerment for women in New York City, Santa Fe, Los Angeles and at Omega retreat centers in New York and in Austin, TX. She is currently writing a book about Late Bloomers. In her previous career as an acting coach, Blair became the Internet's premiere actor-advice columnist, when the weekly column "Ask Blair" appeared on Playbill On-Line in 1996 -1998.

Theatre teaching

Blair has taught acting at Northwestern, private classes in NYC, City Lights Youth Theatre School, and Ramapo Anchorage Camp.

She began studying theatre on Saturday mornings at Sanford Meisner's Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City, from ages 8-16. She went on to attend various theatre schools and programs, including the Lee Strasberg Institute, Circle in the Square, Vassar Powerhouse Theatre, Carnegie Mellon University, Northwestern University (BS), and the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Blair has studied with established teachers such as Frank Galati, Michelle Shay, Mary McDonnell, Betty Buckley and many others, and has performed in professional theatres in Chicago and in off-off Broadway productions.
